The 2nd team travelled to the beautiful main ground of North Mymms. After winning the toss they chose to bat. Ben K and the returning Ollie Palmen opened the bowling and bowled tightly. Then Max and Risso tried followed by big Mike and Oscar on debut to break their opening partnership. Despite good tight bowling by all it was not until the reintroduction of Risso that we got our first wicket. Then a run out came and Ben K bowled their number 4 to leave us chasing 197. I will skip over our batting with the exception of Max Carter who top scored with 15 not out, well played. Congratulations to Oscar on Debut a great start to your Ware career!!

The first team hosted Hatch End and Nick won the toss and asked the opposition to bat first. Dee and Adam kept their dangerous opener tied down and Adam made breakthroughs at the other end, ending up with figures of 8-2-20-3. We kept chipping away, taking wickets but missing half chances, Nick Griffin particularly bowling well for no reward. The wickets were shared around with Kev taking 3 and Dee, Nick von Westonholz and Sam taking one each as Hatch End finished on 169 for 9. In reply we struggled against some tight bowling and slumped to 78 for 7 with only Simon (27) and Sam (13) making it into double figures. Tom (16 not out) and Nick von Westonholz (34 not out) then put on an unbroken stand of 48 as we finished our 40 overs on 126.
