Special mention to Jo Griffin, who is a Club Person of the Year, not just for last year but for years of dedication, hard work, putting up with us rabble and just getting things done! Thank you, Jo!

In the AGM, we agreed to keep match fees the same, there are still no teas provided this year unless specifically agreed with an opposition side and also the annual membership fee is also unchanged at £125 for adult players and £75 for Juniors/Concessions.

Please can we ask you to make payment as soon as possible, it is time for bills with league membership, county association, match balls, website, insurance and ground. If you can make your payment by the end of February, you will get the new club shirt with our new sponsor/charity partner – Ben Kimpton and Mudlarks charity.

All in all, we need an annual turnover of around £10,000 to keep our heads above water, it is a lot.

A big thank you to our sponsors, Kimpton Landscapes and Sanderson Pay.

As with every year, recruitment is essential for the club, please promote the club wherever you can, can anyone produce a poster? Current qualification is being able to hold a bat.

We are looking at arranging a preseason tour to Kent, are you interested, it will be on the weekend of the first May bank holiday Sunday and Monday. Let us know if you are interested.

In the winter we voted on whether to move leagues, it was a very close vote and the result was to remain in the Hertsleague. There has been a demotion for the first team but at least we will play all our fixtures in Hertfordshire.

Nets have started on a Wednesday night at Hatfield Sports Centre (near the shopping centre) from 7pm to 8pm. Do join in if you can. There are a further six sessions taking us up to Easter and from there (weather permitting) we can use our outdoor net.

Sam T, Andy and Dee will be leading the All-Stars and Dynamo cricket again this year with the club arranging Friday night sessions in Ware and Sunday mornings on a Sunday, details to follow but we are hoping it is the same success as last year!

We are about to load the fixtures for the current season – preseason friendlies, league and Sundays on to the website so please update your availability when you can, it makes it all very much easier.

Here we go, may 2024 bring you runs, wickets, catches and maybe a win or two!
