On a good pitch at Widford we won the toss and put Datchworth in to bat. Wickets were hard to come by but we restricted Datchworth to 190 for 2 off their 40 overs. The wickets went to Khan with another tight opening spell (8-2-21-1) and Hugh who made sure Datchworth couldn’t pile on the runs at the end. They were backed up well by Imran, Will, Danesh, Tom and Simon.
A new opening partnership of Will and Joel put on 28 before Joel was out and Kyle joined Will at the wicket. Scoring quickly and finding the boundary with ease they put on 140 together before Will retired on 100. Kyle finished off 67 not out as we won with almost 13 overs to spare. We have three very winnable games in a row now against teams below us in the league.
