After losing the toss again the twos batted first against Broxbourne 3rds and made a respectable 170 all out. The highlight was Ben Compton’s first competitive 50 for the club. Opening the batting Ben almost carried his bat and played really well, with a pretty much chanceless 86 before he was bowled a couple of overs from the end. He was well supported by Jamie Don’s 23 in a stand of 62 for the 8th wicket. When Broxbourne batted a couple of early wickets from Khan made things look interesting but the small boundaries and aggressive batting took Broxbourne over the line with 7 wickets and 15 overs to spare, making Khan’s 8-2-17-2 figures all the more impressive.
