Another win from the final ball for Ware 2s.

At a windy Potters Bar we lost the toss and bowled first. Good opening spells from Imran and Andy kept things tight before Fred came on and took two wickets in his first over, the start of an 8 over spell where he only conceded 15 runs and could have had more wickets. He was backed up well by Fahad and Simon, and then Nick took 3 wickets and Imran came back to finish off the innings with a couple of wickets, keeping Potters Bar to a very respectable 161 for 8 off their 40 overs.

In reply Simon and Andy took us to 39 before their stand was broken, with both out quickly one after the other. Reece rebuilt with support from first Martin, then Aaron and finally Nick before he was out with the top score of 32 trying to push the run rate along. Nick and Joel kept us in the game but when Joel was out with just over 4 overs left we still needed 39 to win. Fahad hit his first ball for 4 and continued aggressively to make this look achievable but we still needed 11 off the last over. A wide and a 4 took this down to 6 required but 3 dot balls built pressure again. However Fahad delivered, with 4s off the last two balls to take us over the line off the final ball. A good team performance, with a great 27 unbeaten from Fahad at the end, ably supported by Nick (21 not out) who has now been in at the end for two last ball victories this season.
