Bowling First Was It The Right Thing To Do

Bowling first we looked to make a early breakthrough - with some good bowling From Andy Milton 5-2-6-0 and Tom Lester but without getting the breakthough had to turn to the first change bowlers Dave Smith and Seb Brownhill with Seb making the breakthrough anf then taking 3 of the top order 5-0-18 - Dave Bowled well but with the story of the day - mostly the ball found the gaps in a frustrating period of play - and a total that looked like we could keep down to 140 when Jon Perrett took 2 more wickets - but just got bigger and bigger
Fred Devonshire-helps - bowled well getting a wicket and Tristan Brownhill - took 2 for 8 - but we could not finish them off

so chasing a tough 176 - we had a number of contributions - Seb for a hard fought 23 and Dave smith with 31 - Jon Perrett 14 and Andy Milton 15 - but we could not find that major partnership or score that would of seen us home
